In 2025, a year after purchasing it, Kitesbridge was listed for £22.5 million — roughly $30 million. While the home had been reimagined under their direction, the couple ultimately needed more space.
“When we decided to live here full-time, we knew that Portia couldn’t live without her horses,” DeGeneres said in a statement. “We needed a home that had a horse facility and pastures for them.”
That need led them to their second and now permanent residence — a sleek, glass-walled contemporary farmhouse nearby. The new property offers ample room for de Rossi’s horses, which the couple had flown over from the U.S.
“It’s absolutely beautiful,” DeGeneres revealed of their new surroundings. “We’re just not used to seeing this kind of beauty. The villages and the towns and the architecture — everything you see is charming, and it’s just a simpler way of life.”
